The International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in Conflict is excited to announce the launch of our multimedia exhibit, Beauty in the Middle: Women of Congo Speak Out. Presented as part of the United Kingdom's Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, it will be free and open to the public from June 10-12 at the ExCel Centre in London. Opening hours are 9am-9pm everyday.
Beauty in the Middle: Women of Congo Speak Out presents the story of the conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and the women grassroots activists who have mobilized against incredible odds to end rape, and find a way to justice and peace.

Pete Muller is an award-winning photojournalist whose work has appeared in The New York Times and National Geographic, among others. In 2011, TIME Magazine named him Wire Photographer of the Year for his work with the Associated Press in Eastern and Central Africa. His work on mass rape and mobile tribunals was featured in the 19th Annual Open Society Foundation Moving Walls Documentary Photography Project.
Director of Photography: Kohl Threlkeld is a filmmaker and photojournalist based in Haiti. With Jon Bougher, he founded Artefact Haiti with the intention of telling the stories that are overlooked by traditional media. Kohl and Artefact Haiti produce high-quality videos and films with specific attention to storytelling and high production value.
Editor: Jon Bougher is a documentary filmmaker based in Haiti. He has served as producer, videographer and editor on projects in Haiti, Afghanistan, Nicaragua and Armenia. His documentary work has been screened at film festivals worldwide and been featured on CNN International, NBC’s Today Show, and MSNBC.
