READ and SHARE the Women’s League of Burma’s new report on sexual violence in Burma.
Today, Campaign member Women’s League of Burma (WLB) released a new report revealing ongoing sexual violence by Burmese government forces and troubling evidence of intimidation of survivors seeking justice.
"If they had hope they would speak," covers the period between January and June 2014 and details ongoing impunity for rape and gender violence by the Burmese military. WLB is calling for amendments to provisions in Burma's 2008 constitution that maintain impunity for sexual violence crimes committed by Burma's military. We stand in solidarity with these brave women struggling for justice and an end to rape in conflict.
