ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda Takes the Pledge!

On Saturday, September 22, members of the International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in Conflict met with the new International Criminal Court's Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda in New York City.

Earlier this year, on June 15, Fatou Bensouda became the first woman and first African to hold the position of Chief Prosecutor.

Over the past months, Campaign members have been writing to their Heads of State to #SupportFatou and gender justice - by ratifying the Rome Statute or donating to the ICC Trust Fund for Victims. We welcomed the opportunity to meet with Fatou Bensouda and discuss both the challenges and opportunities for advancing justice for women and survivors of gender violence in conflict.

The Chief Prosecutor is only as strong as the support she receives - and we are proud to support her and her work! Check out her #IPLEDGE for the Campaign:

Find out more how you can #SupportFatou by writing a letter to your Head of State, encouraging them to support the International Criminal Court.
