From June 10-13, the Campaign was out in full force at the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London, UK. The event—co-chaired by UK Foreign Secretary William Hague and UN Special Envoy Angelina Jolie—was the largest-ever meeting focused on sexual violence in conflict. It brought together world leaders, media, experts, and civil society to work towards ending rape & gender violence in conflict.
The Summit also marked the launch of two important Campaign initiatives: Survivors United for Action –the first global network of sexual violence survivors focused on rape and gender violence in conflict, and the multimedia exhibit Beauty in the Middle: Women of Speak Out.
